WELCOME TO THE BUILDING INDUSTRY FEDERATION (BIF) OF NEW ZEALAND
We represent the supply chain of the building industry, providing meaningful responses to government on important policy issues that affect the construction sector. We are involved in advocacy to government, including promotion of standards development, engagement on key research issues, reviews of timber treatment and the resolution of issues arising from the Building Act of 2004. We also take an active interest in economic issues impacting on the industry including interest rates and immigration policy - key issues driving building demand.
The Building Industry Federation has established a partnership with GS1 New Zealand as part of our strategy to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the building, hardware & construction sector supply chain. The BIF encourages members to explore with GS1 the potential benefits it can bring to your businesses. Find out more.
BIF was formed in 2001 to effectively represent to government the interests of major industry participants including merchants, importers, distributors, manufacturers wholesalers, marketers and related service providers.
